Meet Our Dogs
At Guardians of Basilea, our dogs are not just breeding stock —
they are our partners, protectors, and family.
Each of our guardians lives full-time within our homestead, working daily with livestock, children, and real farm life. We do not select dogs based only on appearance — we select for calm nerve, thoughtful judgment, strong structure, and true guardian instinct.
All of our breeding dogs are genetically tested and hip-cleared before being used in our program.
Our Foundation Guardians
Our dogs are developed from carefully selected Caucasian Shepherd, Anatolian Shepherd, and Great Pyrenees lines.
These ancient guardian breeds form the foundation of the Grand Korumak Project and provide the stability, power, and protective instinct that define our dogs.
Each guardian in our program is chosen for:
• Calm, stable temperament
• Environmental confidence
• Deep bonding ability
• Respectful livestock behavior
• Safe family interaction
• Structural strength and longevity
• Predictable, thoughtful responses
Limback’s Livestock “Lucy”
Foundation Guardian • Steady Matriarch • Heart of the Farm
Lucy is the calm, steady girl that anchors our entire program. She embodies everything we believe a true homestead guardian should be — watchful, deeply loyal, intuitive, and unwavering in her commitment to her people and her livestock.
With a naturally balanced temperament, Lucy is confident without being reactive, protective without being unstable reactive, and affectionate without losing her independence. She moves through the farm with quiet authority — aware of everything, unsettled by nothing.
Lucy bonds deeply to her family while maintaining strong livestock respect, making her an exceptional example of the kind of guardian we are intentionally building:
a dog who will stand between danger and her people, without becoming a danger herself.
She is gentle & patient with children, respectful with livestock, and fearless in the face of predators — the perfect blend of soft heart and solid mind.
Lucy represents the foundation of Guardians of Basilea — the soul we are preserving as we build the next generation of family-safe, farm-strong guardians.

Remmy
The Muscle • Serious Guardian • Calm Power
Remmy is the muscle of our homestead — a powerful, steady guardian whose deep bark alone commands respect. Calm in spirit but serious in purpose, he embodies the kind of protector who does not rely on chaos or constant motion to make his presence known.
He moves through the farm with quiet authority, watching, assessing, and holding his ground with confidence. Remmy does not escalate unnecessarily — but when he does speak, it is with intention. His voice carries across the land as both warning and promise: this place is protected.
Deeply bonded to his family, gentle with children, and respectful with livestock, Remmy transitions seamlessly between farm life and guardian duty. His calm strength brings peace to the homestead — not tension.
Remmy represents the guardian mind we value most:
slow to escalate, quick to assess, unwavering in loyalty.
Remmy will complete his time in our breeding program after our 2026 litter as we bring in new genetics & will remain a lifelong working guardian on our homestead — continuing to protect our family and animals for years to come.
He is the steady force behind Guardians of Basilea — the quiet power that keeps our land safe.
